Questions
Who counts as a licensed user?
An active, enabled user with a Microsoft 365 licence whose data we protect. Shared mailboxes and other unlicensed accounts are not billed.
Where is my data stored?
Canadian clients' backups are stored in Toronto. The service that runs the backups is also hosted in Canada.
Can anyone delete a backup?
No. Backups are locked in compliance mode until their retention ends. Not your staff, not an attacker with your password, and not MirageBackup.
How do I connect a client?
Create the client in the portal and send the consent link to its Microsoft 365 administrator. Once they approve, the first backup starts automatically.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MirageBackup is a cloud service; it connects to Microsoft 365 directly.
